Fall Jeans from Nordstrom: 3 Fab Styles Everyone is Loving!
The quickest way to jump into the new season is to update your wardrobe with a pair of on-trend Fall jeans. I find Nordstrom has one of the best selections around. But with so many styles, how do you choose?
Skinnies, Slim, Straight, bootcut, flare, palazzo, wide-leg, barrel, long, ankle, cropped….the list goes on and on.
So let’s make it easy. Today I’m sharing the 3 styles of “It jeans” that feel fresh and modern. Take a look at what’s popular and how to style them.

1. Straight Leg Jeans
After years of wearing skinny, fitted jeans that hugged every inch of your legs, we’ve turned to a slightly more relaxed style. Instead of being tapered, straight leg jeans are consistently wide from your thigh to your ankle, creating a classic, laid-back silhouette. Women love them because they are timeless, comfortable, and easy to wear. These black Sawyer Ab-solution Straight Leg jeans by Wit & Wisdom are a great example of a stylish fall basic that is also very affordable at $78!
How to Style them: Animal Prints are trending this fall, so how about a leopard print button-up shirt, sleek black booties, and a soft leather bag? Easy going but very cool!

2. Wide Leg Jeans
Another super popular silhouette? Wide leg jeans… but not just any old wide leg. The key is to find a pair that doesn’t overwhelm. I’ve found that the best wide leg jeans have a high waist, are very snug across the stomach and hips and them gently flare out. They’re not wide from waist to hem. By nipping in at the waist and skimming over your hips, you avoid a bulky, bottom-heavy look, and instead create the illusion of an hourglass figure.
For example, these Le Slim Palazzo by Frame are high-waisted and snug. There’s no bulkiness, and they create shape by highlighting your waist.
How to style them? Show off your waistline with a close-fitting top, or a shirt or blouse tucked in. The patch pockets on these jeans are a nice detail and also look fab when you tuck your top in.

A side note: I’m noticing another trend lately – Khaki jeans, so I thought I’d throw these in. They are the exact same jeans as above (Le Slim Palazzo by Frame), but see what a different vibe they give off as compared to the classic blue ones? These are a nice change.

3. Sim Straight Jeans
I’m jumping around a bit here, but I wanted to go back for a second to a less wide style – Slim Straight Leg jeans. These are my absolute favorite! Skinnies feel super dated, and straight leg are nice, but since I’m very hourglass, so I prefer the Slim straight style, which is a cross between skinny and straight leg.
The leg opening on these Mari Mid Rise Slim Straight Leg Jeansis 13 inches in circumference vrs. 15″ on the first pair I showed you (Wit and Wisdom Sawyer Ab-solution jeans). These slim straights are more tailored than straight-leg jeans and feel a tad chicer.
How to Style them: With a cozy cashmere sweater in ballet pink, suede cowboy booties, and the very popular suede hobo bag. If there’s one bag to get this year, this is it.

So which is your favorite? Straight Leg, Wide Leg or Slim Straight. Let me know what works, what doesn’t, and why?

I love the slim straight because of being petite.
Hi Bonnie, I understand. The wide leg can swallow you up! My favorite are slim straight too because I’m not petite, but I’m fine boned. Jeans that sit closer to my body are better for me.
