Nordstrom Fall Fashion 2025 Try-On (Part 2)
Hi Glam Gals! I’m back for part 2 of my Fall Fashion 2025 Try-ons from Nordstrom. (Did you see my Try-ons, Part 1? )
I hope these casual dressing room try-on photos give you a better idea of what’s in style for Fall 2025, and how these clothes fit. I do think shopping online is the way to go, but I wanted to venture into the store to show you anyway. Are you ready to take a look? Let’s go!

funnel neck blouse | cropped jeans with belt | brown suede slingbacks
Trend #1 – Funnel Neck Blouse, Wide Leg cropped Jeans
Here’s an outfit that turned out to be a big surprise. As I mentioned, before I went into the store, I’d perused the Nordstrom website and thought I’d seen everything. But I was delighted to come across this fabulous blouse and cropped pants. Looking back, I think I might have seen the blouse, but thought it was a sweater. As a blouse, it is stunning, and the modern funnel neck and cap sleeves make it feel special! This particular shade of brown feels very unique.
The cropped pants are from Cinq à Sept, a brand I had not worn before but instantly fell in love with. I saw these online, but wasn’t impressed. At the store, they looked better but were still rather stiff and boxy on the hanger. But you can see how great they look on, especially with that self-belt. This is one brand I’m thrilled to have discovered and will continue to explore further in the future.
black ruffle sweater | black jeans, skinny or straight leg
Trend # 2 – Ruffled Statement Sweater
Ruffles are popular these days, but finding a way to wear them without looking too little girly is sometimes challenging. Putting together a sophisticated ruffled outfit begins with finding the perfect ruffled piece.
This beautiful black and white ruffled sweater makes a pretty statement. It’s very feminine, but it stops short of being too frou-frou! I think it’s quite sophisticated when styled with sleek black pants. I wanted to try this sweater on with the Wit and Wisdom slim straight leg jeans that are part of the #Nsale, but they didn’t have any in store.
So, instead, I tried on the skinny leg version from Wit and Wisdom. They fit closer at the ankle than straight leg, but don’t feel tight. They are super light, store-tight, and comfy (almost like leggings, so I bought them. I’d still like to purchase the slim straight leg too, since I wear a pair of black jeans in the fall).
I also tried on this sweater with black wide-leg pants, but the broad shoulders of this sweater with the wide pants make my figure look wider and boxier. I prefer this wide over a slim look.

Trend # 3 – Polo Sweaterdresses
Long sweaters are a big trend for Fall. I have two to show you, both in the Polo style. The navy one ends just below the knee, while the striped one is a little too long for my taste, but they do give you a nice shape. I like the sporty feel of the Polo style and the way the collar frames the face. Sweaterdresses can be quite slinky and a bit sexy, but the more modest length and sporty style tones it down a bit.

Bootcut pull-on pants | Textured Mock Neck Top
Trend #4 Cropped Bootcut Pants
Bootcut pants are a favorite of mine and everyone else’s because they fit close to the body and then flare out, balancing your curves. While I was at Nordstrom, I spotted this beautiful stretchy, pull-on pair from Nic and Zoe. These appear online as full-length, but they are more ankle-length on me. I’m 5’7″
Nonetheless, I think they look quite chic! I think that’s also partly because I’m wearing pointy-toe black slingbacks. I love them paired with this short, textured top featuring a futuristic-looking funnel neck collar.

Trend # 5 – Flutter Sleeve Dress
If this dress looks familiar, that’s because it was featured at Nordstrom last fall in different colors. It was popular then and remains so now, which is no surprise, since it is classic, elegant, versatile, and super figure-flattering. Last year I tried it in green. This year, navy is the color of the year.
This dress is versatile enough for a wide range of occasions, from the office to a cocktail party and everything in between. Navy is a rich, classy neutral that’s easier to wear after 50 than black, as it’s a bit livelier and not as harsh. The floaty, fluttering sleeves are beautiful, and the wide neckline is a great way to make your shoulders look broader, which helps balance your hips and give you an hourglass shape.

tweed jacket | cream textured tank | cropped jeans with belt | brown suede slingbacks
Trend # 6 – Tweed Jacket
I loved this tweed jacket, especially the color, and noticed online that they have a skirt to match. I tried it on with these cropped pants, but it felt too long. The proportions felt off. I didn’t bother trying it with full-length flares or slim pants, but it would probably be more to my liking. The best thing about this classic jacket is that I didn’t push up those sleeves. They are sewn up like that, which is a brilliant idea because it makes the coat look more sporty and youthful.

cropped wide leg jeans | print sweater | brown suede shoes
Trend # 7 – Cropped Wide Leg Denim
Here’s another pair of wide-leg cropped denim jeans from Wit and Wisdom that have a nice fit. I paired them with this pretty, rust-colored sweater from Nic and Zoe. I’m seeing a lot of this rust color this fall. I like it because, other than that, there seem to be a lot of cool purples and dark navy, which isn’t the best for my light, warm coloring. This is a simple outfit, but it looks great, and I elevated it by wearing the beautiful brown Vince suede slingbacks I bought.

Faux suede bomber jacket | rust ribbed top | cropped jeans
Trend # 8 – Suede Bomber Jacket
There were many jackets available at Nordstrom when I visited, including this Halogen faux suede bomber jacket. It’s very soft (not stiff like some faux leathers), and I liked the cognac color.
Ultimately, this was a little too casual for my taste, but I can see many girls who prefer a more natural look loving this cool fall look paired with jeans.
houndstooth jacket | rust top | wide lege pants
Trend # 9 – Houndstooth Jacket and Wide Leg Pants
I love a classy double-breasted blazer, and this one is a nice find at a reasonable price, offering a lot of wearability. It’s great for business with dress pants or pair it with your favorite jeans to upscale a casual look. I’ve added a thin, rust-colored, ribbed long-sleeve top under the jacket to make it pop!
